THE PROJECT
The Smart Grid project of the University of Sassari represents a pilot initiative aimed at reducing energy consumption from the national electricity grid and consequently increasing the level of energy self-sufficiency of the individual university campuses.
The intervention, for the first time in Italy, involves the new construction interconnection of the various microgrids of the various poles, each of which is equipped with photovoltaic production systems and storage systems, creating a single integrated and dynamically managed smart network.
