Piazza Ex Mercato

The project for redevelopment Piazza ex Mercato in Cortina d’Ampezzo is part of the program of works related to the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, with the goal of restoring a new, quality public space to the city. The project includes the creation new construction of a pedestrian square with green areas and seating, an underground car park with 31 parking spaces, and a new volume intended for commercial functions. A panoramic promenade, integrated with pedestrian paths and parking spaces, enhances the views of the Dolomites and improves the connection between urban spaces. Materials such as wood, stone, and architectural concrete interact with the mountain landscape, creating a project designed to leave a lasting legacy for the local community.
