Central Archaeological Area

The project for the TID area — Touristic Integrated Development — in Durres, commissioned by the Albanian American Development Foundation in in collaboration with collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Durres, aims to enhance the potential of the central archaeological area of the city. The project concerns a system of historical-artistic emergencies of great importance, including the Roman Amphitheater, the Castle, the Venetian Tower, the medieval Hammam, the Ethnographic Museum and other significant places of the urban heritage. The project configures a physical and management transformation of the territory, aimed at increasing the area’s attractiveness and expanding the tourist offer aimed at visitors and tourists.
